ACX ActSafe Power Ascender Training

The SKYLOTEC ActSafe ACX Power Ascender Training course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely operate the ActSafe ACX battery-powered rope ascender for personnel and load lifting applications.

The training covers equipment inspection, system setup, operational procedures, risk assessment, emergency functions, and basic rescue considerations, with a strong focus on safe work practices and manufacturer-recommended operating techniques. Upon completion, participants will be able to confidently use the ActSafe ACX to improve efficiency and safety when working at height, in confined spaces, and during industrial rope access operations.

5th Point offers this one-day course to businesses and individuals. Fully certified TAE Trainers with relevant industry experience deliver the course materials, ensuring that a wealth of experience underpins the training that we offer.

Upon successful completion of the SKYLOTEC ActSafe ACX Power Ascender Training, participants will be able to safely inspect, set up, operate and maintain the ActSafe ACX Power Ascender in accordance with manufacturer instructions and industry best practices. Participants will demonstrate an understanding of equipment capabilities and limitations, hazard identification, risk management, emergency procedures, and safe lifting techniques for personnel and materials. They will also be able to conduct pre- and post-operational inspections, respond appropriately to operational issues, and apply safe work practices when using the ACX in work at height, rope access and confined space environments.

There are no prerequisites for this course, however it is recommended that students have:

• Basic knowledge of working at heights or rope access systems
• Experience using personal fall protection equipment
• Appropriate fitness to participate in practical activities

Participants should complete refresher training every 2 years to maintain competency and remain current with manufacturer recommendations, equipment updates and safe operating practices. A refresher course should also be undertaken following a significant period without using the equipment, after an incident, or where required by an employer or site-specific procedures.
