5th Point offers this course as Competency Based Training for rope access technicians who are looking to incorporate a TerrAdaptor™ or similar artificial anchor systems into their work scope to by pass hazards such as, glass balustrades, abrasive edges or pultruding gutter edges.

This two-day course has been developed with Industry experts and Manufacturer partners. Fully certified IRATA and TAE Trainers with relevant industry experience deliver the course materials, ensuring that a wealth of experience underpins the training that we offer.

Training Terms and Conditions.

Course Outline

This Competency Based Training is a two-day course (approximately 6-8 hours per day) and provides basic knowledge of components, set-up, and physics involved in using a TerrAdaptor™ safely and effectively. The course includes:

  • Rigging theory and concepts
  • Artificial High Directional use
  • Incorporating the physics when setting up a TerrAdaptor™
  • Anchor selection and techniques for securing a TerrAdaptor™
  • Practical workshops for setting up AHD’s and transporting personnel in a three-dimensional space

Note: This course does not train the skills and knowledge necessary for working at height, or work in suspension using rope access techniques.

Learning Objectives

Designed as an introduction to individuals who are looking to incorporate TerrAdaptor™ portable anchor system into their work scope. This course is a comprehensive look into the forces applied to the TerrAdaptor™ and our anchor systems, including a full understanding of vector forces, resultants forces applied in these systems.

Prerequisites

Candidates are required to hold a minimum IRATA Level 2 certificate to attend this course. This course is aimed at individuals who have prior knowledge, skills and experience of mechanical advantage and anchor forces, and does require reading, writing and numeracy skills. Please contact 5th Point prior to enrolment to discuss our support services if required.
